Western Plains Zoo is open every day (including Christmas day) from 9am to 4pm, with exit gates closing at 5pm.

Teachers and accompanying adults are free under the following ratios:
1 free adult per 5 infant aged students (Years K-2)
1 free adult per 10 primary / secondary students (Years 3 to 12)
