Despite its long neck, a giraffe has only 7 neck bones - the same number as you do.

Western Plains Zoo is an 'open range' zoo with our animals located across wide open spaces. To make the most of your stay it is recommended that you plan your visit before you arrive.
There's a 6km loop road that winds through the zoo and also 15km of bush trails, through picturesque Australian bush with lakes and waterholes. While you can drive your car on the loop road, you can also walk, ride a bike, or travel in an electric cart. Bikes and carts can be hired at the zoo, but you can also bring your own bike.
There are many things to see at Western Plains Zoo so we recommend planning your visit in advance. Download or view our map online to see all the Zoo's attractions.
Luckily, every ticket is valid for two consecutive days, so don't worry if you need an extra day to see all the zoo has to offer.
